PORELON® INK ROLLS

All Lincoln contact coders use disposable Poly-Ink® rolls manufactured by
Porelon®. The unique design of Poly-Ink® rolls gives you a clean, sharp
impression without the liquid mess of re-inking rolls after each production run.
Rolls snap easily into place, without having to stop the line. You can change
the ink roll and adjust the pressure in seconds without ever touching the roll,
so you will save cleanup time and downtime. There’s never too much or too little
ink.
The ink in a standard roll dries by instant absorption on porous surfaces such
as cardboard cartons, boxes, fiber drums, shipping containers, and non-coated
papers. We have specialty ink rolls that will dry on many non-porous materials.
Some features of Poly-Ink® rolls are:
- Ink formulas that prevent ink roll dry-out.
- The ink surfaces only when the roll is pressed against the printing die
(capillary action).
- Pore Size ranges from 1 to 20 microns, with the smallest pores at the
surface and larger pores inside to act as ink reservoirs.
- Available colors: black, red, blue and green
- Disposable
- Non-Hazardous (Rolls for absorbent surfaces only)
We are the worlds largest distributor of Porelon® Ink Rolls used in industrial
marking applications.
Not only do we stock ink rolls for our own machines, but we also manufacture
ink rolls to fit many of our competitor’s machines. If you are interested,
contact us and ask about our Aftermarket Ink Roll products.
A 1” wide black Porelon® Ink Roll will print over 500,000 ¾” high characters.
This equates to a cost of $0.00001 (US) per printed character.
These ink rolls are exclusively used for absorbent surfaces on all Lincoln
Coders and on non-absorbent surfaces for Lincoln’s NP (nonporous) printers.
Manufactured by Porelon Inc., these microporous, disposable ink rolls deliver
ink to the rubber type in one of the most economical and cleanest methods in
the industry.
